Lost & Found Hotline
If you've lost or found an animal, you can call the City of West Hollywood's toll-free Lost and Found Animal Hotline. It's a phone information center where callers can leave a message or listen to listings of lost and found animals. If you hear a description of your lost pet or find an animal who's lost, the phone center contacts a city liaison who facilitates a reunion. Information remains on the hotline for 10 days.
The number for the City's toll-free Lost and Found Animal Hotline is (888) 440-9366.

Pet Laws & Licenses
WeHo takes pride in the fact that our people and companion animals follow the rules of good conduct when it comes to caring for our neighborhood and abiding by the City's Pet Laws & Licenses procedures. Don't forget the pooper scooper and leash laws, along with dog licensing and vaccination requirements. We want to have good health, clean streets and safe surroundings for all.
The City of West Hollywood expects all pet guardians and owners to be responsible, and spay and neuter their dogs and cats. This simple act is important for the pet's health and safety, and equally important, as a simple measure to control the enormous numbers of unwanted pets.
You may now license your dog or cat at City Hall during regular business hours, at the Finance Counter on the first floor, by filling out the application, providing proof of vaccination and spay or neuter and paying the fees. Your license will be mailed to you. You can also obtain your dogs' license by mail. Fees are discounted for senior citizens and with proof of spay & neutering.
The City also very strongly recommends that all cats and dogs wear a collar and i.d. tag at all times, especially if the pet is an indoor companion, as they are the most vulnerable in the event of an earthquake, disaster, or simple accidental door being left open. If you have questions about any animal or pet related issues, please call West Hollywood City Hall at (323) 848-6396.
